I often encounter the images in my paintings in my dreams - Sench Sargsyan

My art is a personal impression, a recreation of the world I live in. I often encounter the images in my paintings in my dreams before I bring them to life on my canvas, henceforth providing them with a doorway to our everyday world. The images used in my paintings all appear realistic, but are placed in surrealistic settings and circumstances. They come from a variety of places including books that I have read, people I’ve met, and vivid childhood memories. My paintings are full of wide open spaces engulfed with luminous color, because my work opens itself up to each viewer in a unique way. The detail of the images in my artwork is extremely elaborate, to the extent that if the canvas of one of my paintings were to be cut into small squares, each square would still be a painting of its own, due to the unique composition and balance throughout my work.

Each one of my paintings has its own unique philosophy. They are all full of life, enhanced with positive energy. Love, kindness, and spiritual beauty are often themes within my work, because they are in everything and anything we feel. Art is my primary outlet of emotion, My art has many functions, among which are bringing beauty into the world and also keeping me in touch with my sanity. A lot of artists wouldn’t want to live in their own paintings. I would, because within each one is a beautiful world of unreal life, life which we can still create for ourselves.
